Carol Day has been actively involved in health education on Georgetown's campus in a variety of ways. As the administrative director of Health Education Services (HES) in Student Affairs, she oversees services and programs, including mandatory prevention education for all new first year and transfer undergraduate and graduate students and popular peer education programs like SAPE (Sexual Assault Peer Educators) and the SSJ (Stall Seat Journal). The HES team manages the new Wellbeing space on the ground floor of Healy Hall. She co-taught a 3-credit Soc 111: Flourishing course and validated the positive outcomes with research. She teaches HSCI 2220 Crisis Management in College in the School of Health. She is currently teaching a 1-credit wellbeing course, UNXD 2112 Wellbeing in Times of Crisis: The Applied Science of Flourishing. Carol is active in national coalitions for wellbeing in higher education and she currently serves as the lead for the JASPA FAN (functional area network) for Health, Wellness and Care.
