Jorhena Thomas is an intelligence and homeland security professional with extensive experience at the international, national, and local levels. Her career includes senior roles such as Chief of Staff to the District of Columbia Deputy Mayor for Public Safety and Justice; Deputy Director of the Washington Regional Threat Analysis Center; and Senior Intelligence Analyst and Program Manager with the FBI. She currently serves as Chief Operating Officer for Girl Security.As a faculty member in the Georgetown School of Continuing Studies Master's in Applied Intelligence Program, Professor Thomas emphasizes reflection as a core teaching tool, using structured, intentional reflection to help students strengthen their applied intelligence skills, deepen their analytical reasoning, and build confidence in their professional judgment. Her courses combine rigorous expectations with holistic evaluation and constructive feedback to create meaningful opportunities for growth.
