About me
Dr. Rachel Wilcox is the Director of the MedStar Health Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency Program and an Instructor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Georgetown University Medical Center. She is a board-certified clinical specialist in neurologic physical therapy in the outpatient setting at Georgetown University Hospital, specializing in the treatment of patients with neurodegenerative, neuromuscular, and other movement disorders. Dr. Wilcox is lso an associate member of Georgetown University Medical Center’s prestigious Teaching Academy for the Health Sciences.Her current research interests explore applications of OPTIMAL Motor Learning Theory in educational contexts, sources of intrinsic motivation in health professions education, and novel methods for measurement of exercise tolerance in neurodegenerative and neuromuscular disease populations. She has presented on these topic at the national and international levels.
